Chose the one with the dead escalator over the one with working lights and it was way better
Went to two dead malls in one weekend, Rolling Acres in Akron and the old Century III outside Pittsburgh. Century III still had half its lights on and some holiday music playing in one wing, which honestly just made it feel sad and loud. Rolling Acres had zero power, just daylight through the skylights and my own footsteps, and that quiet is what made it feel real. Has anyone else noticed that a fully dark mall hits way harder than a half lit one?
